The group that runs Otakon every year, the biggest anime con on the east coast, has teamed up with Lantis Records, a Japanese music company that specializes in anime and video game soundtracks, to create their first stand alone concert series Otakon Music Festival. The event is November 3 at the Ram’s Head Live! in Baltimore, Maryland.
The headliner for the festival is super group JAM Project. JAM Project’s current lineup is Hironobu Kageyama, Masaki Endoh, Hiroshi Kitadani, and Masami Okui. The group has performed a number of anime theme songs both as a group and as solo acts. They are currently on tour in South America, but will be up for the show.
Tickets are $50 for the day, but if you attended this past year’s Otakon you can get in for $40, just bring your badge and ID. A limited number of VIP Party Pass is available for $60. With it you get to go to a VIP party after the show with the guests, a special badge, one autographed item from the guests, limited edition souvenir, and half of your money goes to charity.
Doors open at 5pm and the show starts at 6pm.
